HEAR FROM HEAD COACH JEFF GARBUTT
“Going into day two, we wanted to see improvements in every boat. Our goal was to work on some of our weaknesses in race plans yesterday, and each crew responded with attention to those details. Our first-year rowers showed a lot of composure and drive this weekend. Our 3V8 answered the bell and brought the Iowa rowing way to each of their competitors. The 1V8 showed big improvements from the first race to last race showing lots of heart and determination in their final race. As we head into Championship season, it is time to roll up the sleeves and get back to work. We are looking to find our fastest combinations and know our athletes will respond to challenge. Go Hawks!”
